Agentic privacy · now in private beta

Temporary by design.
Yours by intention.

The internet remembers everything, forever, by default. Ephemeral inverts that — a layer of AI agents that makes what you're shown, and what's known about you, temporary and reset on your terms. Use the web as a utility, not as its product.

The problem

Permanence without intention.

Algorithms keep a permanent behavioral record of every distracted, anxious, idle moment — and use all of it to decide what to show you next. Your email is duplicated across hundreds of services. Your years of history become a fingerprint you can never shake. The plate of thoughts you're served is stale by design.

The core thesis

Three beliefs underneath everything we build

01

What you consume shapes who you become

Recommendation algorithms aren't neutral mirrors. They steer attention, mood, and over time the direction of your thinking — optimizing for engagement, not for you.

02

Your presence defines how the world treats you

Every account and data point becomes a permanent fingerprint that's scraped, sold, and used to predict you. Two people fed different ads quietly come to inhabit different realities.

03

Permanence is the enemy

For thousands of years a person could arrive somewhere new and simply be — unprofiled, free to become who they chose. That was the human default. Ephemeral's job is to give it back.

The product

One agentic platform, four pillars

Each pillar is independently valuable. Together they deliver complete presence-ownership — continuous, contextual, and automatic, because the judgments are too fuzzy for a one-time script.

PILLAR 01

Reset the Algorithm

Attention & newness

Break the stickiness of recommendation engines and reclaim attention. Set a direction; the agent trains the feed toward it, then erases the signal so it keeps serving who you want to be now.

  • Notification management across every device and app
  • Inbox hygiene — bulk unsubscribe plus ongoing monitoring
  • Feed reset & re-seeding for YouTube and LinkedIn
Social (Instagram, X, TikTok) sequenced with design partners
PILLAR 02

Erase the Trail

Untraceability

Make tracing of your personal data effectively void. Carry online only what you've actively chosen to share — and recover the freedom to be anyone you intend to be.

  • Email identity overhaul — purpose-specific, unlinkable aliases
  • Continuous data-broker removal on new state deletion rails
  • Trail hygiene: reject cookies, purge on a schedule, route via VPN
PILLAR 03

Platform Independence

Non-attachment

Break the lock-in of a lifelong Google or Apple ID. The agent backs up your data locally, then deletes and re-creates the account — severing the longitudinal fingerprint while you keep your content.

  • Full backup to a home NAS or external drive
  • Delete, re-create, and refill — fingerprint severed
  • Internet as a utility, not a leash
Hardest pillar — starts with portability + backup
PILLAR 04 · the heart of the company

Parent Care

Protecting those the attention economy preys on

Older adults in developing economies adopted smartphones en masse, often without the mental models to handle the overwhelm — and are disproportionately harvested for clicks and targeted with misinformation. Ephemeral protects them: VPN-first setup, content re-seeding toward calmer and trustworthy material, gentle friction on the stickiest apps, and account refreshes that break the algorithmic class-bubble. The most emotionally resonant pillar — and the most defensible, because no incumbent is building for this user.

“What you see, and what's known about you, should expire by design.”
— The mission: absolute newness and non-stickiness in our online presence
Proof of concept

It already works — by hand

Before there was a product, there were personal experiments. Each is a working prototype of what Ephemeral now automates. The gap between doing this by hand and doing it for anyone — that gap is the company.

LinkedIn

The clean slate

Unfollowed all ~6,000 connections; the noisy feed went blank. Rebuilt it deliberately — following only people I could imagine becoming. ~3,500 requests last year, accepted one.

Six real connections in a year, versus thousands of shallow ones.
YouTube

Seed and erase

Deleted all watch history, turned tracking off. Re-enabled it for one hour, watched only aligned content, then locked history off. The chosen direction held for a year.

One hour of intention, locked in; everything else expiring by design.
Email

Closing the loop

A paid removal service plus a sweep through unsubscribes cut the noise — but it was manual, ongoing, and limited to what one tool could see.

The approach works; doing it by hand demands scripts and constant vigilance.
Why now

A window that just opened

01

Regulation made deletion legitimate

California's Delete Act spun up DROP — live since Jan 1, 2026 — letting one verified request direct 500+ brokers to delete your data, with mandatory compliance from Aug 1, 2026. Painful and legally-gray becomes an automatable workflow.

02

AI agents are finally cheap enough

Continuous, judgment-based curation and identity management is now economical per user. The fuzzy, contextual calls — is this aligned, is this worth keeping — are exactly what an agent can make where a script cannot.

03

A cultural shift toward intention

Intentional living is driving the fastest growth in all of wellness software — the digital-detox category is compounding at ~24% a year.

04

Developing-economy adoption is peaking

Hundreds of millions of new users are coming online right as the harms — older-adult overwhelm, misinformation — become acute. That opens the Parent Care window.
